Exclusive – German bakery brand to expand to the UK, with first of two London locations opening in second quarter of 2026: German bakery brand Cinnamood is to expand to the UK, with the first of two London locations opening in the second quarter of 2026, Propel has learned. The concept, founded in Cologne is 2022 by Anna Schlecht and Luca Breuer, has opened 56 stores in less than four years and is now trading across 12 countries. It has now appointed Seeds Consulting to lead its franchise expansion across the UK and France. The brand has already secured a multi-site franchise partner for the UK, with the first location set to open in Camden, north London, in the second quarter of 2026, followed by a second site at Westfield London. The brand is targeting major metropolitan areas including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Paris, Lyon and Marseille, with opportunities available for both single-unit and multi-unit development agreements. Ahead of its UK expansion, the brand, which last month opened a flagship Barcelona store, launched its first Irish location last weekend, in O’Connell Street, Dublin. Seeds will help the brand identify and secure high-quality franchise partners across the UK and France, with a focus on experienced multi-unit operators and regional developers capable of delivering structured, long-term growth. “Partnering with Seeds Consulting marks an important milestone in our international journey,” said Santiago Hernández Acevedo, chief business officer at Cinnamood. “The UK and France are strategically significant markets for us, and we believe Seeds will help us find the right partners to build a strong and sustainable presence.” Matteo Frigeri, founder and owner at Seeds Consulting, added: “Cinnamood is a standout brand with a clear point of difference in the bakery and sweet treat segment. This combination of brand power and operational efficiency is exactly why existing Cinnamood partners are scaling so quickly, with some already operating nine locations.
