Exclusive – Coaching Inn Group promotes Adam Charity to MD: The Coaching Inn Group, the award-winning pubs-with-rooms business that forms part of RedCat Hospitality, has promoted Adam Charity to managing director with immediate effect, Propel has learned. Charity will lead The Coaching Inn Group as it looks to expand and drive growth even further, following a successful and transformational three-year period, in which time the business has doubled in size, to 36 sites, and returned to the acquisition trail, with the purchase of the Warwick Arms Hotel earlier this year. The hotel recently reopened following a £1.7m refurbishment. It comes after The Coaching Inn Group was named large hotel group of the year by consumer group Which? and reported a strong second quarter performance, with like-for-like sales up 5.4% and accommodation life-for-like sales up 10.1% over the period. Originally joining the business in 2008, working behind the bar at the White Hart in Boston, Charity has progressed through the ranks of the business, being appointed as chief operating officer in March 2024 and now manging director. Richard Lewis, chief executive of RedCat Hospitality, said: “Adam’s promotion recognises his vital role in the recent success and growth of the company, leading the business to two record-breaking years for sales and confirming its status as one of the leading pubs-with-rooms operators in the UK. I have no doubt that he is the best person to take the business to the next level, as we look to grow and build on everything we have achieved so far.” Charity said: “I am incredibly proud and excited to start in my new role, working with our wonderful teams to help the business grow and expand, while maintaining our unique culture and philosophy of ‘hospitality from the heart’, which is what makes us so special. Our strategy of blending heritage and charm with modern luxury to create unique and memorable stays, is a winning one and I am very much looking forward to finding new locations where we can unlock potential and consolidate our position as a leader in the domestic leisure market.”
