Tue 27th Jan 2026 - Neos acquires 20 bars from The Revel Collective estate, Ted Kennedy-led vehicle secures Peach Pubs
Neos Hospitality acquires 20 bar sites from The Revel Collective estate: Neos Hospitality, formerly Rekom, has doubled the size of its estate after acquiring Revolution Bars Group, Revolución de Cuba and Founders & Co, via a pre-pack administration, for an undisclosed sum. The deal sees the Russell Quelch-led Neos acquire 20 bars, employing more than 800 people. Propel also understands that Neos has acquired the Revolution Bars and Revolución de Cuba brand names. The acquisition takes Neos’s estate to 40 sites, strengthening the group’s presence across 22 locations in the UK. Neos said the latest acquisition supports its long-term growth strategy, built on “developing distinctive bar concepts across the UK’s major cities”. The move follows the acquisition of Tiger Tiger London earlier this month and marks another step forward in the group’s nationwide expansion. Quelch said: “Over the last two years we’ve built a strong foundation as a business, and the opportunity to expand into several major UK cities was too good to be missed. This was a complex process, and our focus throughout was on creating a sustainable future for the bars and as many people as possible. We’re excited to work with our new colleagues and look forward to developing Neos together over the coming years.” Neos will open its first venue combining the company’s Bonnie Rogues and Barbara’s Bier Haus formats, at the former Tiger Tiger site in London’s Haymarket, this summer. Propel revealed earlier this month that Neos was to make its debut in Central London after acquiring the former Tiger Tiger site in London’s West End. The landmark West End location will undergo a multimillion-pound redevelopment, which will bring two concepts together under one roof for the first time. Earlier this week, The Revel Collective – the operator of 65 venues trading predominantly under the Revolution, Revolución de Cuba and Peach Pubs brands, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators. The company said: “The Revel Collective announces that, further to the company's announcement on 26 January 2026, the company has today taken steps to formally appoint Lindsay Hallam, Matthew Callaghan and Oliver Wright, of FTI Consulting, as joint administrators of the company and certain of its subsidiaries across the group. Immediately on appointment, the administrators completed two sale transactions for the business and assets of the group: (i) a sale of Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba and Founders & Co to Neos Holdco and certain of its subsidiaries, trading as Neos Hospitality and (ii) a sale of Peach Pubs to Coral Pub Company Acquisition, founded by Ted Kennedy. The transactions secure the continuation of 20 Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba and Founders & Co bars and 21 Peach pubs and protect 1,582 jobs across the sites and central support function. Regrettably 14 Revolution, six Revolucion de Cuba and one Peach site did not form part of the transaction and those sites are being closed with immediate effect impacting 591 employees.” The closed Revolution sites are Manchester (Oxford Road), Huddersfield, Leicester, Glasgow (Renfield Street), Cardiff, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Ipswich, Manchester (Parsonage Gardens), Plymouth, Durham, Exeter and Preston. The locations of the closed Revolucion de Cuba sites are: Cardiff, Derby, Liverpool, Reading, Harrogate and Aberdeen. The Revel Collective and Neos Hospitality feature in the Who’s Who of UK Hospitality, which is one of six databases exclusive to Premium Club subscribers. The latest edition was released yesterday (Monday, 26 January) and features 1,387 companies. The companies, listed in alphabetical order, have their most recent developments reported as well as broader information around Ebitda, plans and trading style available. The database merges Companies House information, interviews and other public information to provide an easy to reference and exhaustive guide to the sector. A Premium Club subscription costs an annual sum of £495 plus VAT for operators and £595 plus VAT for suppliers. Companies can now have an unlimited number of people receive access to Premium Club for a year for £995 plus VAT – whether they are an operator or supplier. New vehicle led by Ted Kennedy acquires Peach Pubs: Coral Pub Company, a new vehicle led by Ted Kennedy, who was previously managing director of Whitbread’s managed pub division and former chairman of Dominion Hospitality, has acquired Peach Pubs, via a pre-pack administration. Propel understands that Coral Pub Company won the race ahead of serial sector investor Luke Johnson for the 21-strong pub business, which was part of The Revel Collective. Johnson is chairman and a shareholder in The Revel Collective, the company behind the Revolution bars, which earlier this week filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators. It is thought Breal Capital and Calveton, the backers of the Evolv Collection; Stonegate Group, the UK’s largest pub group; and Karali Group, the backers of Cote, had also run the rule over Peach. The Revel Collective has been working with FTI Consulting on the sale process for the entire business. It is thought a deal for the pubs could be valued at around £5m. The then Revolution Bars Group acquired the then 21-strong Peach Pub Company for £16.5m in October 2022. At the time of launching the sales process in October, The Revel Collective said a continued period of external challenges had impacted its business and trading performance. The group said despite a satisfactory performance from Peach Pubs, overall group revenue for first quarter of its 2026 financial year was £26.3m, down 7.4% like-for-like compared with quarter one of 2025, primarily due to a 10.5% reduction in like-for-like sales in the group’s bar business. Regrettably 14 Revolution, six Revolucion de Cuba and one Peach site did not form part of the transaction and those sites are being closed with immediate effect impacting 591 employees.” The location of the closed Peach site is Kenilworth (The Almanack).
